World Community Service – ProjectLink

Dear Presidents,

As you know I have been given the responsibility to Chair the Word Community Service (WCS). This is very prestigious and important assignment and I am grateful to DG for his kind consideration.

Rotary provides ample opportunities to those who want to work for the uplift of the community. This is one of such opportunities. It does not require much of an effort. You as a club leader get your project registered and wait for the response. There is every likelihood that your project will be picked up soon and you will find a donor.

You must also visit the Rotary International website to make yourself conversant with the WCS (which is now known as ProjectLink).

A ProjectLink form is attached as a ready reckoner. Click here to download.

Please use the attached form to publicize your club or district project’s need for funding, volunteers, donated goods, and/or partners for a Rotary Foundation Matching Grant on ProjectLINK.

Please note inclusion of a project on ProjectLINK does not ensure funding from The Rotary Foundation. To apply for funding through the Humanitarian Grants Program, please complete and submit the appropriate application to The Rotary Foundation.

ProjectLINK listings remain posted for two years, unless the sponsoring club or district chooses to remove it or RI is informed that the project has been completed.

Guidelines for Projects Seeking Support:

  1. The project sponsor is the in-country Rotary club or district. Rotary clubs and districts that wish to register a project on ProjectLINK but are outside the project country should cooperate with an in-country club or district, which can register the project.
  2. The sponsoring Rotary club must notify RI World Headquarters immediately when the project is completed or if the project contact changes.
  3. The project contact must respond promptly to all inquiries about the project.
  4. Each club or district may have up to five projects registered on ProjectLINK at any one time.
  5. The sponsoring Rotary club or district must be in compliance with The Rotary Foundation’s reporting requirements for humanitarian grants.

I, myself and other members of my team, will be available to provide you help and assistance wherever and whenever required. Please keep us informed.

Best wishes.
