Town Hall Building, The Mall, Lahore was illuminated with “End Polio Now” message on March 24 and March 25. Rotary’s Goodwill & Peace Conference was held on March 25 and Rotary’s Annual District Conference had the Inaugural Session on March 25 which went on till March 27.
Past District Governor Don Gatzke was Rotary International President Representative for both Conferences. Former Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri was the Chief Guest at the Goodwill & Peace Conference. Past Rotary International Vice President and International PolioPlus Chair Dr. Robert Scott was the Chief Guest at the District Conference. The “End Polio Now” illumination message was done to convey Rotary International’s strong commitment to make this world Polio-Free and to honor PRIVP Dr. Robert Scott for receiving Sitara e Khidmat (Star of Service) from the President of Pakistan on March 23 in Islamabad. The “End Polio Now” illumination was organized by National PolioPlus Chair PDG Aziz Memon, who received President’s Pride of Performance on March 23, and District Governor Shehzad Ahmed.
