On the 28th August 2010, Rotary Club of Lahore Fatima Jinnah arranged about 200 food hampers for the flood 
survivors. Each hamper comprised of 10 kg Atta, 5 kg Rice, 2 1/2 kg sugar, 2 1/2 kg Ghee, 2 kg Daal, along with Dry Milk, Tea, Salt, Chillies, Matchboxes, Dates and Washing Powder. On Sunday 30th August, President Faiza Alavi and Secretary Tallat Naheed, accompanied by Assistant Governor Shaheen Ahmad and a few club members visited Muzaffargarh and distributed food hampers, floor mats and clothes among the flood survivors. District Governor Shehzad Ahmed along with his daughter Fatima and niece Zohrain also joined them in the distribution of food hampers and clothes. Later, members of the RC Lahore Fatima Jinnah and Assistant Governor visited the affected areas. It was a heart rending sight. The team vowed to gear up the efforts in alleviating the suffering of the Flood affectees.
