Overall case count of 2010: Total polio cases (as on 25th December, 2010) = 138. Please see the attached AFP Surveillance Update.
Polio awareness and eradication is one of top most priority areas of our District. Pakistan and Afghanistan are two of the last four polio endemic countries in the world. We all have to work together to make our District Polio-Free. Please actively participate in all upcoming National Immunization Days (NIDs) on December 28-30, 2010.
Many clubs are planning Polio Awareness Walks, participation in the immunization in coordination with the health department etc. during the coming NIDs.
Please make effective use of Polio Social Mobilization items such as t-shirts, caps, polio story books, pencils, badges, cloth bags etc. You can get these items from National PolioPlus Chair PDG Aziz Memon’s office or from the District Secretariat.
