District Governor Roger Percival (District 1040, UK) and District Governor Amanda Watkin (District 1260, UK) visited Kujer village, Sheikhupura and surrounding areas to see some of the community service projects done by Rotary. District Governor Shehzad Ahmed and Assistant Governor M Iqbal Malik (Bali) organized the visit. They met the beneficiaries, members of local Rotary clubs and members of Rotary Community Corps (RCCs). They visited Zahid Eye Hospital in Sheikhupura and Sewing Machines Vocational Center in Jhamkey. Later, they went to Kujer village and visited Government Elementary School for Girls where basic necessities have been provided through one of The Rotary Foundation Matching Grants. Similar necessities have been provided to the Boys School. They visited the villager Computer Center and the village Community Library and saw “End Polio Now” campaign done on Walls. They also visited hospital and vocational center of Rotary Club of Farooqabad. DG Roger enjoyed donkey cart ride and motor bike ride in Farooqabad. Members of Rotary club of Lahore Garrison accompanied them from Lahore.
