District Governor Shehzad Ahmad’s official visit of RCL Mozang


Members gathered at Punjabi Complex. The District Governor and the First Lady were welcomed on their arrival by the Club President; Rtn Zafar Jillani and Secretary; Rtn Major Ahsan Saleem .Meeting was attended by many seasoned Rotarians like PDG Rtn Shamsi, District Trainer Rtn Max Babri, his wife, DGN Anthony Richards, and Presidents of various clubs. Programme started with the Board of Governors’ Meeting. All the avenues of Rotary Service were discussed at length and approved by the Governor. Club’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of flood affected were appreciated. Our one on-going project; The Ghazali School; was also highlighted.

Club Meeting started with the Club President’s Speech. A thunderous applause was given to the delegates who had recently returned from Delaware, USA. PP Rtn Raza Khursand gave a day to day commentary, with the slide show, of their engagements with the Welmington Club there. PP Rtn Almas then gave concluding remarks and told that the members of Welmington Club are expected to visit Lahore in the near future.

DG Shahzad Ahmad in his speech admired this project which has acquired an international status and offered his help and full support in whatever manner the club may need it. He also motivated the members to revive their Rotaract Club and an Interact Club as well. He also presented shields to the Club President and Secretary as a token of appreciation. PDG Rtn Shamsi appreciated the progress made by the club on this project and extended his club’s unconditional support when the delegates from Delaware arrive in Lahore.

PP Rtn Dr Sarfraz Warraich gave the vote of thanks. A new member, Mr Zafar Chaudhry who is a senior banker and a very pleasant singer, was inducted to the club by the DG. Bouquets were presented to the DG and the First Lady. Shields were given to the Delegates who had come back from USA.

The meeting ended with the announcement that Tea was served in the cafeteria of the complex.
