Dear Community Builder Presidents and Rotary Leaders,
As communicated to you earlier, elections for DGN 2013-14 and representative for Council of Legislation (COL) will be held on Sunday March 27 at the District Conference in Lahore. The clubs have to nominate an Elector and an Alternate Elector duly signed by the President and Secretary on Club Letterhead according to the attached Credential Certificate. Please note Credential Certificate that is not on the Club Letter Head will not be acceptable.
Please prepare Two Original Certificates. Send One Original to the District Governor office before the Conference. Give One Original to the Elector(s) to take to the Conference to present to the Credentials Committee latest before the deadline announced on March 25 at the District Conference. The Credentials Committee will examine the contents and verify the sufficiency of number of votes.
A club’s voting strength is determined by using the paid membership as of 1 January or 1 July, the date that the most recent semiannual payment was due. Members inducted after this date are not counted when calculating the number of votes a club is entitled to cast in all district level elections referred to in the RI Bylaws.
Any Elector or Alternate, whose name is not available in the membership list of the club available at RI website shall not be entitled to vote.
Please note that the Balloting Committee will allow the Elector or Alternate, as the case may be, to cast vote after satisfactory identification. Please ask the Elector / Alternate to bring original CNIC at the time of balloting.
