Dear Peacemakers

We continue to receive a huge number of calls, emails and SMS congratulating on the success of our district conference.

Thank you for your fantastic appreciation of all aspects of our district conference from décor, registration, and program, house of friendship, food and entertainment.

The presence, participation and support from our Rotary Clubs, Rotarians, Friends and Sponsors and the hard work of the organizing committees made it possible for us to experience great Rotary Moments and for district conference of Peace and Service to be acclaimed as the best ever district conference.

A very big milestone on this journey of Peace through Service during 2012-13.

Our Conference is a celebration of our commitment to humanity and we have increased our service in our areas of focus through sustainable projects for our communities.

Our Conference is an opportunity to recognize all the work of our Rotary Clubs and Rotarians. We have during the year recognised the efforts of all Rotary clubs through the Governor’s Monthly Letter, The Peacemaker and our district website.

At our district conference we were going to recognise you with “The Peacemaker Awards” for all the “Heart Work” that you have done and continue to do for our communities. While we were able to present a number a Peacemaker Awards a large number remained and were not presented due to time constraints.

We have decided to hold a District Peacemaker Awards Ceremony to honour you and where you will get the remaining Peacemaker Awards in a manner befitting to your wonderful service projects and activities.

We plan to hold the District Peacemaker Awards Ceremony in June 2013.

Warmest Regards,

Anthony Richards
